Pilgrim People

The living church is called Pilgrim people / The body of Christ. Pilgrim people are people that undertakes a journey to a sacred place as an act of religious devotion. In other words they are travelers on a journey to get somewhere for example to god's kingdom but along the road there are many things that stop them.

In this picture it shows you a country girl walking down a long road with her dog and guttier. She's on a journey to get to god's kingdom but there are things that are stopping her along the road. These are some of the things that are stopping her on her journey...

• Long way to walk
• Can’t afford food
• No shelter

In the picture it shows the sun meaning that she is there and has finished her journey and more journeys will come with her famous singing corer. In other words she has made it to god's kingdom.

Olympic Games Fact Challenge

In 7/8 OD we are learning about the Olympic Games. Our teacher Mrs O'Donnell gave us a task that task was we had to complete the question that she had given us.
Here are the questions:
Who designed the Olympic Rings? Baron Pierre Coubertin 
When were the Olympic Rings designed? 1912 
Why are there 5 rings? Because the rings represent 5 world continents 
What is the meaning behind the rings being interlocked? It represents the 5 continents coming together as one
What is special about the colours used for the Olympic rings? It means that, those that appear on at least one of all the national flags of the world at the present time united by Olympism

Science Force

In 7/8 OD we have been learning about force for our topic. Force is something that pushes or pulls something. The effects that force have is it changes the shape of something and changes the speed. The unit that they use to measure force is Magnetic and Gravity. In this photo it shows the grey box on the left end spins fast so that the blue box can move car tyres so people can drive in there cars. This is force in action.

Rio Olympic Games - Torch Update

This is my second time blogging about the Rio Olympic games. There is currently 04 days 21 hours 43 min and 16 seconds till the Olympic games. Currently the Olympic games touch is in Macae, RJ and yesterday it was in Nova Friburgo, RJ.

Rio 2016 Olympic Games - Torch Update

Thursday 28th 2016

In 7/8 OD we have been learning about the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. We learnt that there was a torch that went around to some country's before the Rio 2016 Olympic Games start, our teacher Mrs O'Donnell set us a task. Our task was we have to blog what country the torch is in now and write something interesting about the country. Right now the Olympic Games torch is in Angra dos Reis, RJ. So far there are 8 days till the Rio Olympic Games 2016.

Interesting Fact: Angra dos Reis, RJ has 365 offshore islands and their population is 65,364 that was back in 2010 and there area is 816.3km2 and Angra dos Reis, RJ is located in Brazil.

At the end of term 2 7/8 OD went for a bus ride to mind lab to learn about different things like coding and monkey jam. I had a lot of positives from mind lab, I liked doing the monkey jam and moving my char actives around and putting it all together. I really enjoyed doing the coding for the little mot control  robots and making them move and making it work with out even touching it. I found it challenging when I was doing monkey jam that I had to always move everything around to make it work and I found the coding part about mind lab a bit challenging how you had to try found out what would make the robot work and how to do everything on the computer.
